Precise Positioning at Indian Region With Multi-Constellation GNSS Receiver SP80

Abstract: The primary goal of satellite navigation system is to provide precise positioning, navigation and timing (PNT) information. World is going to envisage a vital multi constellation global navigation satellite system (GNSS) due to intense changes in satellite navigation technologies. Inception of multi constellation GNSS precise point positioning (PPP) belongs in back 2007, however GPS and GLONASS were the only available constellations that time. Presently more than 108 satellites are already providing their services, and about 120 satellites will be available once all systems (QZSS, IRNSS, BeiDou, Galileo, GLONASS & GPS) will fully deployed in coming years. This research aims at leveraging the traceable GNSS i.e. GPS, GLONASS, BeiDou, Galileo for precise position determination at Indian region with SP80 multi GNSS receiver. The research also investigated positioning accuracies in all visible constellations, various combination of multi-constellations and individual constellation with help of an open source package RTKLib. The substantial development of satellite perceptibility, dilution of precision, spatial geometry, continuity and reliability were carefully analyzed and assessed, in individual, multi-constellation & all visible constellation mode with controlled environment.
