Abstract: The major objective of the study was to design and fabricate an instructional equipment that will be used as a multi-purpose lifting device for motorcycle servicing. The project developed is made up of locally-available materials, thereby making it cost efficient. The project can be used indoors and outdoors, since it designed to lessen the stress experienced by both teachers and students who are involved in motorcycle repair. Although it is intended as an instructional device, it can also be used in actual motorcycle servicing, particularly for small to medium-sized motorcycles. It has two (2) major parts, the hydraulic jack and the hydraulic cylinder. The hydraulic jack transfers the pressure to the hydraulic cylinder and enables it to transmit the power to the scissor mechanism so that the lifter will operate seamlessly. The project was evaluated by thirty (30) respondents who are a mixture of evaluators having automotive technology and motorcycle servicing backgrounds. Results of the evaluation showed that the project functioned according to expectations, being a cheaper and environment-friendly alternative as compared with its commercially available counterparts. It also provided a cost-effective approach to providing convenient lifting system for motorcycle servicing.
