Simulink Development of Microgrid System Using Renewable Energy Resources

Abstract: In this paper the hybrid energy system is proposed and this system consisting of renewable energy resources like solar and wind. Due to the intermittent nature of solar and wind power, the energy storage system is required to provide continuous power supply. To extract maximum power from the wind and solar, Maximum Power Point Tracking (MPPT) algorithm is used. The efficiency of the converters and controllers also increased by using this control algorithm. It provides stable operation of the control under various power generation conditions. This system operates in grid connected mode. The modelling of the system is developed and presented using MATLAB SIMULINK. The simulation result of the system also evaluated.
