Abstract: This paper presents an efficient DC and AC micro grid system with cascaded H-bridge multi-level inverter (CHBMI). This paper mainly focuses on the analysis and design of a bi-directional dc dc converter for DC storage micro grid application and transformer-less micro grid system based five-level CHBMI has a simple converter structure, low weight due to large transformer and higher efficiency as such low total harmonic distortion (THD). This Hybrid controller (boost converter and BDC controller) basically helps in management of power between of bi-directional dc dc converter and PV boost converter during the unequal loading conditions of the system. Phase opposition disposed (POD) bipolar Modulation technique of the CHBMI play a prominent role to achieve better power quality performance for common mode voltage problem. The analysis of different cases as variable load and pv system, for different operating modes is analyzed to manage the power for micro-grid by the MATLAB Simulink with CHBMI. The performance of controller has been discussed to verify the power management between system.
