Abstract: In this paper, a hybrid ac dc microgrid is used for the reduction of multiple conversion processes. The proposed hybrid system can operate in both grid-tied or in islanded mode. A bidirectional converter is used to co-ordinate both the AC and dc microgrid. Suitable coordination control techniques are used to properly coordinate various AC and dc sources to the grid. The power can be transferred in both directions by using a bidirectional converter. The Proportional Integral controller is the controlling technique which is used in this paper. By using co-ordination control techniques, smooth power transfer and stable system operation can be maintained. The main objective is to manage the power flow between the AC and dc grids depending upon the power requirement needed for the loads. Wind energy is used as an AC source and photovoltaic panels are used as a dc source. The Battery is used as an energy storage device. The proposed model is in such a way that the reliability of power can be maintained during the whole day. The hybrid grid has been modelled and simulated using the MATLAB.
